Thanks to Errol and Carol for getting the results out so quickly for us. Also thanks to Bruce for giving up his ride to observe on section 5, which was the mark taker for the event. 48 riders enjoyed near perfect weather for the day, it was also good to see Mick Ash looking so well and enjoying a walk round.
I thought it would be a good idea just to confirm our chat about the up and coming camping weekend on 15th/16th June at Ledgerwood, Walcot. I think the general decision was that we would supply BBQ’s for riders to cook their own food on and the club would organise a toilet to be on site from Saturday afternoon for campers.
Due to the size of the venue, we would like to be able to set out a larger lap, perhaps 10-12 sections to be ridden 4 times, with this in mind we do need to ask riders to try to bring along an observer that could possibly help us out on both days. The venue is definitely our most expensive land rental and we would like to make the most of both days, that’s the reason both scores count for overall position on championship standings.
So, if you didn’t attend the trial on Sunday, you now have an idea of our plans for the camping weekend. We will post more info on the club website nearer the time. MG
