Historically the club has had two charity Trials during December, for 2021 we have decided to try to make our December 27th event bigger and better. Our good friends at Smiths Farm Withcall have allowed us to have use of this excellent venue with good parking in the main yard, postcode LN11 9RL. We plan to use many of the sections that are used on the Poachers Bag Road Trial, as normal we will have routes for Expert, Inter and Clubman riders with the sections laid out for an enjoyable day! Nothing to arduous. We have 12 sections set over a long lap to be ridden three times, so excellent value for money and a good way to burn off all the Christmas excesses! We have also managed to organize Hot Drinks and Mince Pies to start the day! Also, we plan a rider’s raffle so lots of extra Christmas gifts to be had!
Due to the spread of the Omicron variant, we would like all riders and officials to wear face coverings and please bring your own pen when signing on. We will also be going back to riders being in groups, probably 5 per group in this case, to start at a designated section and then to remain in that group for the event and only to move onto the next section when the previous group has finished and exited the area. Every group will have a group leader to oversee this simple, yet effective method of social distancing. Please keep to the sensible 2-meter rule throughout the venue, including parking, these precautions are necessary, I am sure that these minor restrictions will in no way mar your enjoyment.
As most of you know the proceeds from this event go to the St. Andrews Children’s Hospice a charity that is very close to our hearts. Thank you for your support of all our events in 2021 and we wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a healthy and safe New Year. Attached is the confirmed riders list. MG
